Players trial age group should be considered by the age they will turn in 2026. For example: if you turn 13 in November 2025 you would trial for 15&U because you will turn 14 in 2026. If you turn 15 on 25th January 2026 you should trial for 15&U. If you wish to trial for an older Rep division, please contact us to discuss before submitting your application. Contact email: repnetball@stonningtonnetball.com.au. As an indication of age:
11 & under (born 2015 & 2016)
13 & under (born 2013 & 2014)
15 & under (born 2011 & 2012)
17 & under (born 2009 & 2010)
Open (born 2008 and earlier)
If you are selected for the 2026 Stonnington Storm Representative program:
we will be running an introductory training and team selection camp on the 17th & 18th of January 2026. Attendance is compulsory.
the first training session for the year will be on Monday 26th January 2026. Attendance is compulsory. This is the long weekend, however competition matches start the week of the 27th January 2026 so teams must train beforehand.
Representative Netball is a selective development program for players whose priority sport is netball and who are interested in developing and being a part of the Netball Victoria development pathway for netballers.
as a selective and development program, we expect players and families to:
prioritise weekly training sessions (Sunday mornings), weekly matches and selected tournaments throughout the year (advised once the tournament program is released in 2026). This ensures strong and consistent development for both individual players and their team and is fair for all players who make the commitment to their netball. We have a 90% attendance requirement at both training sessions and matches. This is tracked and managed during the year.
be aware that training will always occur on the last Sunday of school holidays at the end of Terms 2 & 3 as we have matches in the week ahead. Please plan holidays and player availability accordingly.
be aware that the weekly Rep competition that we participate in holds finals in the last weeks of school terms 2 (June) & 4 (December). The school term dates are defined by the Victorian Education Department (please note: these dates relate to public school dates which may differ to your own school and university holidays). Please ensure you are aware of these dates and plan holidays accordingly. We expect all players to be available.
